Adipose

Adipose-derived stem cells have been found to provide therapeutic effects for the repair and regeneration of damaged tissues in our bodies. This specific type of stem cell is found in abundance throughout fat tissues in our body. Large amount of adipose stem cells can be extracted from this tissue and be easily expanded in vitro. Other advantages of this type of stem cell therapy include:

  • Yields high amount of stem cells
  • No risk of immune rejection
  • Minimally invasive
  • Not a long procedure time

How it Works

The procedure works by first harvesting adipose tissues from the patient. We will then separate the adult stem cells from the fat cells in your adipose tissue. The stem cells are then isolated and added to the patient’s platelet rich plasma (PRP). The stem cells are activated by a low light taser and then administered into the patients. The procedure takes close to 4-5 hours and you will be treated with a small amount of a local anesthesia.

Who Can Benefit

Adipose-derived stem cells are a vast source of healing power that can:

  • Treat peripheral artery disease
  • Treat diabetes-related circulatory damage
  • Treat age-related circulatory damage
  • Restore circulation to tissue damaged by disease or injury
  • Repair heart muscle damaged by heart attack or disease

What You Can Expect

If you decide this therapy may be right for you, each one of our patients will meet with a physician to discuss your medical history and desired outcomes of the entire process. This is also important for you and the physician to become more comfortable with each other and be absolutely sure this is the best route for your needs.

If the consultation goes smoothly, we will schedule you again for the actual procedure. The entire process should take between 4-5 hours.
